"We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!" ----Bilbo Baggins

Our mission preparations came to a screeching halt last March (2016) when (Diligent) David was doing a stress test and was unceremoniously taken from the treadmill and placed directly in the hospital; "Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200." He was a model patient and bounced back better than ever from 5 bypass surgery. You go through something like major surgery in a kind of haze. You get pretty focused on what is important and all the other stuff even very important stuff like Stake Auxiliary Training (sorry Linda and Joette!) falls away. Our overall feeling was that we were extremely blessed and that the condition was found during a test with doctors all around and not because of a heart attack. He was told that there was no damage to his heart. So right from the start we have seen and felt Heavenly Father's love.
