The goal was to go chronologically through our mission prep and call, etc. But we are here and I am afraid I will not be able to go back in time and remember all the feelings and things we are experiencing. So...I will start from here and post from before as I have time. (Or make David do it!) It is Friday morning, May 26th 8:00am. At home it is Thursday night May 25th 11:00pm. We are always thinking of you at home and feel like you are kind of with us! So... this is a picture of our front door....from the inside. If you look through the transom above the door it gives you a clue to what you will see when you open the door.
All the apartments are double gated. You can't leave without your keys, because you need them to get out! There are guards downstairs in both lobbies. Underground parking is secure with guards and a remote. We feel pretty protected.
I am finding that it doesn't feel natural for me to write to "nobody in particular" on the blog so I will also copy/paste portions of emails and texts that I/we send to real people. So if you see something that looks familiar...it is.
